Planes Original

Sometimes a film can emerge that is destined for greatness, either through powerful images, a plot of participation or a stellar cast. Sometimes however, only occasionally comes to a film whose success is based not on cast or plot (whose plot is in fact merely incidental to its popularity), but easy viral marketing. Snakes on a Plane is a movie.
For those of you who have not yet encountered this particular title, Snakes on a Plane is an R-rated action / horror vehicle with Samuel L. Jackson. The plot, as we come to expect from action movies, is basic and untaxing. Jackson, FBI agent escorting a witness on a flight from Hawaii to California to testify in a trial the same profile. In the meantime, a murderer of smuggling a box filled with over 500 snakes on the flight. Terror ensues. Easy.
But in the great traditions of Hollywood movies like Snakes on a Plane probably disappeared with little comment in Somewhere amid the usual pile Mindless action movies late summer. Maybe I would have done well in the rental market, but there was little hope become a big hit in theaters.
However, this particular movie has a special quality of a quality that has experienced high levels of darkness and gave him a large fan following as much as a year before its release. This film is a title that had simply asked for a comment – a working title so ridiculous that read the parody and satire.
And that's exactly what it was – a working title. Studies tend to give their productions a descriptive title marketing base before proposing any better. ET: The Extra-Terrestrial, for example, has been variously called A Boy's Life, ET and Me and the night sky before taking the name you know and love. The title of Snakes on a Plane "is, in effect, become the more generic Pacific Air Flight 121 before Jackson and hordes of fans insisted on the internet the original title was restored.
And therein lies the magic. With nothing more than a working title and a plan Short vague became an Internet phenomenon generating a huge fan of blogs, videos, songs, skits and praise, even before a single image of the film was seen. In viral marketing the style of Blair Witch Project, the success of this project of low-budget horror is based more on myth than reality: the Internet (and in Specifically, the blogosphere) manufactured hype, anticipation and excitement with more success than any expensive marketing operation can achieve.
Of course, New Line Cinema had the good fortune of striking and ran with it to join the demands of a hungry public. Have even filmed several scenes to raise the rating a movie PG-13 to R – including adding a line of dialogue requires fans after the publication of a fake audio trailer: "I want these Motherf *** ing snakes off the Motherf *** Ing plane! "They remade the movie essentially to meet the vast, anonymous audience that made him famous.
With all the hype surrounding Snakes advertising a new line Plane is a clear winner. Since the film is now, Sight Unseen, a massive cult, not important in the least if the movie is really nothing. In fact, it probably would take the ticket if he was brilliant, jaw-droppingly awful. The appearance Internet viral dissemination of news of her terrible, would attract more fans to the cashier, ready and more than willing to take part in this long-in-joke.
And that's the point, you see. Therefore, Snakes on a Plane has become so dear, do not expect to be serious. We do not expect to be insightful, intelligent or valuable. We do not expect to see snakes. A map.
At the end of the day, what else is there to say?
