Die casting is the method used for forcing molten metal into the mold cavities under high pressure. Die casting is very versatile and therefore is the most widely used method to cast a metal. Die casting is the same as permanent mold casting the only difference the metal is injected into the mold under high pressure of 10-210 MPa. This results in a more precise uniform size and generally good surface finish as well.

Die Casting method makes the metal porous up to a certain extent. In the method of casting thicker section should be less than 13 mm or 0.5 inches.
