Airbus A319-EOW U.S. Airways was 460 knots. Now, when I flew in my simulator FS 2004, at an altitude of 24,000 feet set my speed is 435 knots, but that was my real 573 knots. Whitton not mean when they say the speed of an A319 in 460. It is indicated or true airspeed.

Do not confuse the "speed" ie the speed of the plane will fly with an average load and the "speed", meaning the maximum speed that can fly this plane and leagally whithin the limits of the certification. For marketing information or public information (as www.airliners.net) you'll see 460KTS@28.000 numbers like feet. These figures are sad (hence the height is usually stated). When flying aircraft pilots are concerned about are the limits VMO and MMO. AVT is the maximum IAS and is the limiting factor at lower altitudes. MMO is the maximum Mach number is the limiting factor at higher altitudes. The A319 is a MMO, 82 mach. A 24,000 feet, about 496 ktas. So if you flew to 573 ktas 24,000 feet which made some, 946 mach which means not exceeding the MMO significantly. In the action plan would have been even receive a warning of excess speed above Mach .82, and 946 I am not sure that the plane could even be controllable, because the Mach Tuck Flutter Control / torn the Mach number and other critical issues. In climbing, should be kept below Vmo until the transition altitude (where it becomes the MMO limit), then you should stay below the lady in the back through the transition altitude. As we continue to increase during the transition, you maintain a low IAS fall short of most MMOs.
